Baxter!

Just wanted to say that I love Baxter.  He has been gone from us for two years now, but we will never stop loving him, and will never forget him!  Here's a bit more from my (main?) blog about our furry friend: click here.

My favorite photo of his cute little nose and whiskers :)

New blog, new website, new new new!

Exciting things are happening in the furry world of Bax Cat & Co!

New website: www.baxcatandco.com

I'm not sure what's going to happen with this blog or my Tumblr one, but I feel like I should migrate everything over to the blog that's on the new website.  I'll still have this one open, but just won't be active on it, probably!  I'm trying to avoid spreading myself too thin and pick one to run with.  On the website I have links to Bax Cat & Co.'s Facebook, Pinterest, and Etsy shop for easy navigation.

Please spread the word to all your kitty friends (or kitty-loving human friends) about the big migration, and I hope to see you over there soon!  Don't worry, it's still a bit of a work in progress, so I might even need to set up a "follow this blog" button somehow if it's not already integrated.  It's all new to me!

Here's still good, there is good too (you'd even be my first visitors/comments!)

Lots to do this weekend with shop maintenance: change a few listings to made-to-order & add a note about how fresh catnip is added at time of order/creation; work on website; edit Halloween photos and list one Halloween listing (one per week from now through September!  How exciting!); also, we found a great eco-friendly shipping materials source to use.  That feature will be up an running in no time, I just have to place my order with them this weekend!  Exciting stuff, I heart nature and will do my best to keep it alive and well <3

Too much talking, thanks for listening!  Time to go start book 3 of the Hunger Games... nice little Friday night! =^-^=

Need more weekend

This weekend was filled with making Halloween items, getting the house clean, photo'ing the Halloween items (and drafting their listings)... annnd getting my website finished.  All of those are now accomplished!

Here is a group shot of some of the Halloween items I as working on.  They are not listed yet, but will be released as new listings in the upcoming weeks, since October (and Halloween) are slowly but surely approaching.

Also this weekend, I spent a lot of time working on building my website.  The website is a spot to learn more about Bax Cat & Co., and see our items in a different way than just through an Etsy shop.  I figure it's a good landing page because it has all ways to reach me all in one place.  Ok ok so here it is!  www.baxcatandco.com!  Right now I have everything pointing back to my Etsy shop.

Eventually I would like to create my own shopping feature for this website, separate from Etsy.  I have the tools to do it, just not the collection of items yet.  The site also has a blog, but that's another decision I have to make - whether to point it here, or to start a completely new blog as my main blog instead.  Hmmm lots of decisions!

That's my story this weekend, and I'm sticking to it!

The beach!

I don't have much to say right now, but I took some cool (yet warm!) pictures yesterday at the beach:)

Odds & Ends

Oops, I haven't posted on here in a while! My list is about a mile long with the shop, but lots of good things are upcoming - Halloween toys, new photos on all my listings, pinning down a domain name, working on a website (!), advertising, Pinning, re-listing, renewing... and going to the BEACH! I had a longer, more confusing list but last night it got the best of me.

Ok, so I'm not going to this beach, but at this point I'm happy to go to even a local beach - this one was in the Bahamas mmm (sorry for the small photo, I can't seem to enlarge it on here gr)

After a good night's sleep I realized that I should not let this dinky piece of paper conquer me. That list has since been re-written to one that is more manageable with less minute details (that's minute, like small... not minute like a period of time equal to 60 seconds!) Yes it's great to have a list with 50 million things on it, because what's more gratifying that crossing off 50 million things after you accomplish them?! On the flip side, it can be daunting. Soooo I re-thought my technique to save my sanity:)

Friendly non-stinging bumble bee

I caught up on a lot tonight that I've been putting off - Pinterest, Wanelo, blogging... Still plenty of other things to do, but I feel like some headway was made. What else? There was a weird bug flying around where I'm working, and it stung one of my cats! GRRR! He's ok, but it would be good to know what to do in case he had had a reaction, so I found this (it wasn't a bee that did the stinging, but still good tips).

So that's what's up, that's where I've been and where I'm going... I have a lot on my plate and hope that it all goes smoothly; if it doesn't, I at least hope to learn good information along the way.

On a side note, this picture came out so cool (I took it last week on one of my walks!)
